Try out Heroes of Ollundra at YCC Gamers Gathering

Heroes of Ollundra is a skirmish based game where players can create bands of heroes to battle against other bands, delve in dungeons, protect caravans and face off against the monstrous minions of the abyss. The game begins with players creating a band of heroes from the available premade characters or creating characters of their own. The size and scale and of the game is dependent on the players and the scenarios they choose to play.

The rules of play are straightforward with each of the character cards clearly displaying their characters stats and abilities. Along with this players can select other skills, spell and equipment as well as divine blessings. Though be warned that as heroes are vanquished their spoils can be taken by the victors.

“After investing a huge amount of my time in to developing the Chronicles of Ollundra fantasy setting, I wanted to create a game that would allow players to play as the key characters that I’d created. While also allowing players to create their own creations and using them in a variety of different game scenarios.” Said the games creator Craig Teal. “While I’ve played the game multiple times, I’ve found watching the play testers having fun and experimenting with the game mechanics by finding and creating combos with the skills and spells to be the most rewarding part of my journey so far”

The Heroes of Ollundra is a game that can be played by 2 – 24 people depending on the game scenario and is aimed at players aged 13+. The core set will include six highly detailed miniatures, six character cards and eighty skill, spells and equipment cards. The game also includes ten 8 inch square double sided scenery tiles and a selection of smaller scenery items and tokens. The core set will also include a rulebook and blank card templates for players to create their own characters, skills and spells. The Heroes of Ollundra is currently available to be played in an open playtesting sessions and will be released via a crowdfunding campaign later this year.
