CheKiss
Chekiss is a duo idol unit formed in 2018 in the UK, featuring Cherry (Cherihamu) from London and KiTTZ from Bangkok.
While Cherihamu and KiTTZ are both well-established cosplayers and performers in the UK scene, this time they venture into the world of Japanese pop idols with happy live singing and dancing at events around around the UK! They also upload cover videos to YouTube.
“Chekiss†plays on the word “cheki†- Japanese word for polaroid photos popular in the idol industry as a memento of live events- and the English word “kissâ€. The combination of these words hopes to portray the fusion of Japanese popular culture with the UK! As a bonus, it sounds similar to Cherry and KiTTZ’s names together, too.
